To The Daily Sun,

In terms of the Children’s Scholarship Fund, in regards to the New Hampshire Education Freedom Accounts, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude for forward-thinking Americans in favor of educational agency and making it possible for the average family to have their tax dollars work for them. As a homeschooling mother of six, I am extremely thankful that our family’s tax dollars will effectively benefit our children’s education. My children have attended three public schools over the years and while there were some excellent teachers, having my children at home together, instilling values unique to our family, and being given the flexibility to focus on their own specific interests and cultivate their individual talents has been deeply enjoyable and inspiring to witness. We are avid readers and enthusiastic about the arts, geography, American history, and especially natural science. As the granddaughter of one of Gilford’s finest former science teachers, Charles French, I feel particularly proud to see my children’s love for all things science and know my grandfather would be proud to see his great grandchildren taking nature hikes in the snow, learning fire building, dissecting owl pellets, studying slides under the microscope, viewing the night sky through a telescope, and much more. Thanks to the Children’s Scholarship Fund for helping to give us the tools I need to give my children a custom and well-rounded education. I am proud of the people they are becoming and joyfully anticipate their contribution to our local community and their own families one day.
