Businesses and individuals donating to Children’s Scholarship Fund to fund scholarships for low- and middle-income K-12 children in New Hampshire can receive an 85% Education Tax Credit from the State of New Hampshire against business profits tax (BPT), business enterprise tax (BET), and interest and dividends tax (I&D).
We are offering 2024 Education Tax Credits for your donation to CSF received by December 31, 2024. We have tax credits available!
Education Tax Credit Applications can be submitted to the NH Department of Revenue are processed on a first-come, first-served basis until the cap in credits is reached. Therefore, businesses and individuals are encouraged to submit the Education Tax Credit Application early in the year.
Step 1. Determine your eligibility and contribution amount
Estimate your New Hampshire BPT, BET, or I&D liability for the year. Determine the amount of this liability you would like to contribute to Children’s Scholarship Fund.
Step 2. Apply
You may apply for your Education Tax Credit by mail or online.
Mail your completed Education Tax Credit Applications to the New Hampshire Department of Revenue Administration at:

You may also file Form ED-02 online at Granite Tax Connect.
Step 3. Once approved, send contribution to CSF
Approximately 1 week after applying, you should receive written approval via mail from the Department of Revenue Administration. After receiving your approval, postmark your donation within 60 days but no later than June 30 of the program year, and send your contribution (amount on line 7 of ED-02 application) to:

Note: When making an online donation for an Education Tax Credit gift, you must select Direct Debit rather than credit card for payment method.
Step 4. Receive your tax credit
CSF will send you the Education Tax Credit Scholarship Receipt within 15 days, which you must include with your New Hampshire State Tax Return to receive your tax credit. CSF will use your contribution to assist low-income children with scholarships.

Which Businesses Are Eligible?
Any business that pays BPT and/or BET in New Hampshire is eligible to apply for Education Tax Credits. Note: If you are not eligible for an Education Tax Credit, you can still contribute to the Children’s Scholarship Fund (a 501c3 nonprofit) by making a federally tax-deductible charitable contribution.
